And there's absolutely no way to prevent these things, is there?

...Suspending the gun rights of those on the Terror Watch list will not have much of an impact on Terrorist Killings. If they can't get a legal gun, they'll get an illegal one...
And if they can't get a legal bomb, they'll get an illegal one.

So your witless argument could be used to argue for legalizing bombs, couldn't it?
So you're arguing to make diesel and fertilizer illegal....and pressure cookers...
Nope. Just pointing out that the old, "If guns are illegal, only criminals will have guns" could be applied to murder, robbery and so on. You know, "If drunk driving is illegal, only criminals will drive drunk." There's some sound logic for you!

In retrospect, calling it witless was too kind.
Back to the real point. Which Terrorist attack would Forkush's solution to 'prevent these things' have actually been prevented? In retrospect, calling your thoughts 'delusional' was too kind.

This is the clown you have chosen to lead the country

Ahh, . . . so the inclusion of the name "DonDiego" in the earlier post was in error? DonDiego thanks pjstroh for the correction.

For the record, poor old DonDiego has not chosen anyone to lead the Country; so far he's been sitting this one out. Nonetheless, it is reasonable to assume that DonDiego will not vote for The Hillary.

Oh, . . . and by the way, . . . from flvoters.com :
"OMAR MIR SEDDIQUE MATEEN was born 16 November 1986 and he lives (or lived) at 2513 S 17TH ST APT 107 in FORT PIERCE, St. Lucie County, Florida, U.S.A. His voter ID number is 114484524. He registered to vote 19 July 2006 and he is registered in the Florida Democratic Party. He is listed as Other (race)."
Congratulations, Democrats !
Why won't obama/clinton use the term Islamic terrorism? The attacks get worse and come more frequently
I congratulate Trump on recognizing that this type of "dirty politics" has been successfully employed by Democrats for decades. Good job, and keep it up!

Imagine if 10% of the patrons that terrible night had been carrying a legal and loaded firearm. Near 50 more people would be alive today.
Your kidding right or do you really believe it is legal to have a concealed carry permit that allows firearms where alcohol is sold? Most states I know of don't allow it. Imagine another idiot with a gun.

Florida Statute 790.06)(12)(a)(12) states: "A license issued under this section does not authorize any person to openly carry a handgun or carry a concealed weapon or firearm into: . . .
Any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to such purpose."
Ref: FloridaStatutes

Under current Florida Law no patrons are permitted to carry within the nightclub.

Mr. Omar Mir Seddique Mateen apparently violated the Law.

Among the recent states that allow permitted concealed handguns in places that get more than 50 percent of their revenue from alcohol are: Georgia (2014), Louisiana (2014), North Dakota (2015), North Carolina (2014), Ohio (2011), South Carolina (2014), and Tennessee (2009).
Many of the states that allow one to carry a gun in a bar still prohibit you to consume alcohol.

[Nothing in this post is intended to suggest that poor old DonDiego supports the carrying of legal firearms within any establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises. He is just clarifying that it is not legal in Florida.]

Apparently.

But come on - if it were illegal for Mateen to possess a gun, surely he would not have violated that law. That one's totally different.

Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws and has HOW many homicides? How are those folks getting all those illegal guns?

Well, it seems The Hillary is coming around a mite, . . . at least she'll say "radical islam".

"Hillary Clinton explained on Sunday that she won't use the term 'radical Islam' because it 'sounds like we are declaring war against a religion.'
'It doesn't do justice to the vast number of Muslims in our country and around the world who are peaceful people.'"
Ref: CNN - 7 December 2015

"Hillary Clinton said Monday she's not afraid to say 'radical' Islam as she countered attacks from Donald Trump that she's too politically correct to use the phrase.
'From my perspective, it matters what we do more than what we say,' Clinton said on CNN's New Day. 'And it mattered we got bin Laden, not what name we called him. I have clearly said we -- whether you call it radical jihadism or radical Islamism, I'm happy to say either. I think they mean the same thing.' "
Ref: CNN - 13 Jun 2016

Hmm, . . . what could've changed her mind ? Maybe it has something to do with the departure of Senator Bernie Sanders. She doesn't need to worry about catering to her lefty-supporters anymore.
The Clintons, . . . one sleazy thing after another, . . .

Oh, sorry about The Obama, . . . he still can't say "Radical Islamism" or "Radical Jihadism" or "Islamic Terror." Nothing's changed for him.

**********EDITED TO ADD**********
After the Sunday attack in Orlando Secretary of State John Kerry stated: “The worst thing we can do is engage in trying to point fingers at one group or one form of sectarianism or another or one religion or another. Those are not the values of our country.”

One can always count on John Kerry, . . . what an imbecile.
