Back to the real point. Which Terrorist attack would Forkush's solution to 'prevent these things' have actually been prevented?...

The vote to re-institute the ban on weapons of war like the AR-15 would have made a big difference in Orlando. And Sandy Hook. But the GOP said no.

And yes, the proposed terrorist watch list law wouldn't have caught this guy. Meaning that folks who
are even MORE obviously crazed than the Orlando killer should be able to buy assault weapons,
according to the Republicans. So I agree with you there.

How many straw men can Bruce stand up and knock down? The Islamic terrorist used a small-caliber semi-automatic rifle, not "weapons of war". The automatic rifles available for military and police use are not the same things! An assault is an action, not a specific weapon. People can kill other people with rocks and sticks. The Sandy Hook Democrat had a small caliber semi-automatic rifle. He also had a shot gun and two hand guns. Banning small caliber semi-automatic rifles would have made a big difference at Sandy Hook how?

None of this is about what was used to kill those people in Orlando. ALL of it is about radical Islam and this nation's left wing embracing it, especially at the top. Øbama: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds begin to blow in an ugly direction." Looks like Bruce is standing right there with him. Over 100 people shot at a gay nightclub should create a quite a bit of "wind"...

Neither the AR-15 nor the Sig Sauer MCX carbine are assault rifles.

The AR and the Sig Sauer under discussion are not "select-fire" rifles.
Select Fire means the rifle must possess at least 2 modes of fire. The weapons under discussion can only fire in "semi-automatic mode", i.e. one round at a time.

Below is a photograph of a rifle with select fire:

Note the select fire option:
"NO PEW" is the safety-selection; the weapon will not fire.
"PEW" is the semi-automatic-selection; the weapon will fire one round with every trigger pull.
"PEW PEW PEW" is the fully-automatic selection; the weapon will fire continuously as long as the trigger is depressed until the ammunition is exhausted.

Sale/Ownershiip/Transfer of any fully-automatic rifle within the United States is severely limited by the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968.

The New York Post reports that the Orlando mass killer was gay, not that there's anything wrong with that. . . and had frequented The Pulse nightclub for several years.

"One Orlando man, who refused to be named, told MSNBC that he had seen photos of Mateen on several gay dating apps, including Grindr, Adam4Adam, and Jack’d. He claimed that at least two of the man’s friends had been contacted by Mateen on the apps in the past."

DonDiego is pleased to report that he has never been to any of these websites, especially www. grindr.com, not that there's anything wrong with that.
