You, of course are forgetting that a very large portion of the American population is entering retirement age. As you are well aware of, the older you get, the more stuff can go wrong with you and the more your medical bills will mount. It also seems like somebody's going to have to raise one hell of alot of money to pay for those new senior citizens and all of the other government programs. Including funding of Social Security and Medicare/Medicade. Tell your kids to say goobye to their paychecks as the government is going to take more and more until there is nothing left for them to live on.....
I've forgotten none of that. Nor has the President.

ACA's passage puts the nation in better position to meet the obligations we made to America's seniors when President Obama was a toddler.

How is that supposed to happen when your tax base has shrunk by how many millions of people? The Social Security system was setup so that 10+ folks would be providing the money to take care of 1 retiree. That figure is fast aproaching 1 to 1, so how is supposed to make things better? Also where is that $45 to $70 trillion in unfunded debt supposed to come from? If it is supposed to come from those same folks that have to fund the retired folks, provide the tax base for the government, and make up the unfunded debt, how are they supposed to live??

Oh yea, Obama care will take care of everything.....

One last question. Have you ever been under a single payer system? I have and so have many millions of Americans. In this system, we can't sue when we get substandard care. We also are treated with drugs that are not approved by the FDA as they are still undergoing medical trails that we are apart of. Of course when a dentist can't follow simple sterializing rules for more than 20 years, he gets to sit on his a$$ while the folks he infected with various diseases, can't file suit against him.
I am familiar with the argument that required medical insurance is said to be unconstitutional. are these the same people who maintain that you dont have to file income taxes because we have a "voluntary income tax" ??

Look -- I dont care if anyone thinks its unconstitutional or not. I say you pay your taxes, you drive on the correct side of the road, you respect red lights and the police, and you get your medical insurance when the government says get it.

a little more "order" and maybe this country wouldnt be in such a mess.
Only FDA approved drugs can be marketed. You need to sign informed consent for any non FDA approved drug.

Getting the hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan and staying out of other peoples backyards in the future would be a pretty good financial start in my little mind.

The govt cannot mandate the purchase of product. If allowed the govt could then mandate everyone must buy a GM or chrysler car. When the bill was passed it was described as purchasing insurance not a tax on medical care.

The problem with medical care is that 5% of the population uses 38% of the resources. obamacare does not solve this problem which will continue to grow as the population ages
The govt says I need insurance if I have a car.
Soylent Green solves many problems.
Carousel is more fun.

Completely different. You only need auto insurance if you drive the car. If you have a car and keep it in the garage it doesn't have to be insured. You also don't need auto insurance if you don't own a car. Auto insurance is required in order to protect the person that you hit, so the victim is not left with the bills
