OT My emergency room "doctor bill"

How did I misrepresent? I looked into your poll and found out that the kaiser poll undercounted the group most likely to be against Obamacare, which in turn skews the number.

I find it interesting that chilcoot and Maliber think they are the moral authority of LVA and people who disagree with them are evil.
I think it's far more interesting when we solve people's personal medical conditions. I've got a tootheache, but I hate going to the dentist. Who's got a good home cure? Has anyone had a surgery where you got to keep something they removed? Most I ever got was a wisdom tooth. I am really pissed that those butchers got to keep my tonsils and foreskin....Oh and my placenta...how could my parents have given that up? Man, I lost whole bunch of stem cells that I might need in a few years.
If the doctor accepted your medical insurance, and that is all they pay, you don't have to pay the doctor any more. He/she will have to rebill the insurance company.

Call your health insurance company & explain the situation.

This is how it should be and this is how it is with my Aetna insurance. Back when I had Travelers insurance, I used to get bills from service providers because insurance only paid reasonable and customary charges and the service providers charged above that and billed me the balance. It led to a lot of fights.

I heard your foreskin was made into a magic wallet, when rubbed 3 times, it turns into a suitcase. ::: shrug :::

The only thing I could keep was my wisdom teeth after they pulled 'em. Although I still have my appendix, foreskin, and tonsils, so they can't take them yet.

Although I do wonder what my gall bladder looked like when they took it out.
the emergency room doctor is not part of ANY insurance plan. It angers me that the hospital would not require its emergency room doctors (all of them) to be part of the same plans that the hospital is part of.

my insurance paid the doctor a couple hundred, leaving the rest for me to pay.

I certainly think the doctor was entitled to the 200 or so that my insurance company paid... but the other 2000+ ????
I've never heard any of our American health care disaster apologists explain what we as a society should do when we find someone on a sidewalk, unconscious and bleeding, their wallet gone.

Are the police, the firemen, the EMTs just to stand there and watch them bleed out, since they might not have the cash or insurance to pay? Do we not even send any first responders, since merely dispatching them costs money?

What are we to do? All I ever hear from them is free market, personal responsibility, the usual mantra, as if all economic activity can be compared to buying socks.

I think we should all contribute to the cost, to the extent we're able. There but for the grace of God and all that.
Generally speaking most people aren’t evil, but many have evil ideas.

BTW: Commune life sounds fun you know free love and all do you have any you recommend?

So sayeth one of the loudest parrots of all.

Absolutely! He/she should return back to their hippie commune in Oregon and find some trees to spike. It is amusing that anyone who doesn't agree with him/her is considered evil. He/she probably wouldn't consider terrorists to be evil if they agreed with him/her.

What about medical care for all of those baby boomers? Who is going to pay for that? Who is going to pay the $billions in unfunded SS and Medicare/Medicade benefits once all of us baby boomers are of retirement age? How much are you going to tax the middle class for this crap? You want to tax the rich, find out what the tax revenues were for the top tax rates during the Carter administration and what they are now.

You site polls which don't mean anything, when the actual bill comes due and peoples opinions change like rats leaving a sinking ship. You talked about mandating health care, who's going to pay that bill? Plus all of the other bills your leaving out?
