I don't think either choice is cut and dried. Generally in championship games you dance with the one that brung you. If Seattle's bread and butter is the power run then that would seem the clearer choice. However, I don't see any fault with being unpredictable, hoping they don't defend it well and you end up with an easy TD. I'm sure Wilson was supposed to sail it if target was covered well. Clearly the coaches overestimated his judgment for that situation. It didn't help that he's sub 6' with a lot of tall and wide bodies bunched near the goal line. Which would be another reason to run it and not have him throw it at the end.
