Pai Gow poker training

Is there anything available online? I'm trying to re-learn the game and also teach my friend and his wife to play. Gracias
Nevermind I found something. This will show you what the house way is.

Pai Gow Training
If I am not 100% positive, I wait for the other players ( you have to wait) to set their hands and I ask them.
Dealers have rules on how they set like splitting small pairs or 3 A's.
You can learn to play as you go it is that easy.
It's what I have switched to. It is the only card game that the number of players or people jumping in and out does not affect the cards dealt.
P.S. always play the bonus.

Thanks Treegirl. I'll be down at Southpoint in October and I know they have Fortune Pai Gow. I played the game a long time ago when I first started playing table games. You can sit there for a long time, guzzling drinks and not losing too much money.

I'll be there with my wife and another couple, and we're looking for a table game we can all play together that's not too difficult or costly. This will fit the bill.

Cheers
More importantly, you have to remember the rules about the joker that is in the deck. It can either fill in a straight, or it can fill in a flush. If it does not do either of those 2 things then it is simply considered an ace. It is not truely a wild card.

Believe it or not, a friend of mine invented this game at the Bell Club in Bell, CA. His name is Sammy B. and he owns a Chinese restaurant in L.A. Some people think this game was invented in Vegas, but I know better. I was playing at the Bell Club regularly when this game was invented. They also invented the game Pan 9, which was like baccarat at about the same time!
The good thing, IMHO, about Pai Gow Poker is that there are so many pushes. As a result, a nickel player could comfortably play quarters, etc.

Some strange rules that need to be "checked" before play. The house way differs, sometimes significantly, from casino to casino. Also, an Ace, 2, 3,4,5 may beat an Ace, king, queen, jack, ten straight in some casinos. There are a few other variables I can not think of at the moment. I do not suggest you blindly choose playing the house way until you completely understand the game.

Also, the game is rated much lower than BJ for comps, etc. That is due to the reduced number of decisions per hour.

Oh, yeah, and some places "round down" the commission. They take 5%, ($1.00 if you bet $20), but if you bet $24, they may still only take $1.00. Others will round up, and some may not accept the "breakage" as part of your wager. IF they round down, than a $24.00 wager can save some significant commissions in the long run.

Go get 'em. Good luck.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the input. I'm not planning on super long sessions of this, it'll just be something a little more social to break up the VP. ;-)
