Paid Parking at MGM properties - go Uber

Simple idea - why not add $5 to the price of tickets for parking and charge $5 to people who are not guests at the hotel and do not validate their parking ticket.....

Valet drivers are going to be BIG losers here.

Maybe the casinos would allow free parking with that properties player card.

Makes it a LOT easier to use Uber and a a cab to get where you want to go. No parking fees,just resort fees.

Do car pools park free? Handicapped? Motorcycles?Plug-ins?Bicycles?Diplomatic immunity cars?

I read an article in the Las Vegas Review journal last week when I was in town . Parking will be $10.00 for all MGM properties . If you have a players card , parking will be free .
You can bet that Ceasars will be watching this carefully . If it flys at MGM , Ceasars will jump on it with both feet . Bob

Maybe because I'm used to Atlantic City, I don't see the big deal. At Caesars in AC, their parking garage is near a hospital and a shopping outlet. If parking is free with a player's card then you all can calm the hell down.

Circus Circus had an entry fee when it first opened. Now look at it. One of the oldest and most successful casinos in the world.

This has already been done. When Circus Circus opened in 1968 - It was noted that from the hours of 2:00am to 2:00pm there was entrance fee to the casino. From 2:00pm to 7:00pm the cost was $.50 and from 7:00pm to 2:00am the cost was $1.00.

Will parking be part of the resort fee. If so it may be the most used part.

I wonder as we see hotels add food and beverage credits to various hotel packages, if they won't add a parking credit?

I also wonder if you get a pass of some kind, so that you can come and go during the day (and night), or is it each and every time you pull into the parking lot that you will get charged?

Include me in with the people boycotting MGM properties while this happens.
