the Paid Parking gouge..

I will be curious to see the effect of the "paid parking" ripoff after the numbers are computed for the first half of 2017. Many current and future visitors to Vegas have already made reservations for the next 2-3 months and will be gouged if they don't decide to cancel. After the next 3 months or so I expect to see a downturn in visitation to the Strip, and after that time period I envision further eroding of visitation as visitors say enough is enough to the continued gouging. I, for one, will be enjoying my future Vegas vacations downtown and off the strip.
I think there is a new variable to this horrible "charging for parking" fiasco. That variable would be for people who are waiting to get in and get out of parking structures. I heard the wait sometimes has been as much as 45 minutes. That is horrible.
Our last trip we completely ignored the strip.....we visited the new Lucky Dragon where parking is free. We stopped at Ellis Island where parking is free. But that's as close as we got. If it's free, it's for me! So many places to risk my bankroll, and I choose no resort fees, no parking fees, thank you.
I've heard they have special St Bernards in the garages to rescue stranded travelers.

The only gridlock I'm aware of was for the opening of the arena where people flipped out over the $20 parking charge and the day of the marathon, where the issue had nothing to do with a parking fee.

I don't like the resort fees and paid parking, and strongly tend to avoid them. The Strip is beginning to lose business to downtown and satellite casinos, and I hope (and believe) that this will continue.

The anger shown by some......... that I don't understand.

As of March 1st, there will be a $10 "Rescue Dog" service fee if one is used.

I just have to laugh when you say "The only gridlock I'm aware of.." as if you are somehow the definitive word on the topic. Have you been going and parking in paid strip parking structures the last week, or are you blowing smoke out of your ass as usual?
That ain't "smoke"....
