The Palms & Palms Place

I am thinking of staying at The Palms or Palms Place for my next trip in late September this year. I have been to many hotels/casinos in my 5 visits to Vegas in the past 1.5 years. The Palms is one hotel/casino I have never been to yet.

How do you like The Palms or Palms Place? Did you have fun? Were you treated right?? Thanks in advance.
Here is a link to a report (with pictures) that I wrote for my stay at Palms Place. I loved it.

Last fall I received a special from Travel Zoo where my room was $89 and I received a $89 per day resort credit. At first the check in desk said it was only good at their coffee shop or Mexican restaurant, but another friend who booked said he was told it was good anywhere on the property. We decided to go to Simon at Palms Place (great restaurant) and sure enough our credits were offset against the meal. The next night our group ate at the very nice Italian restaurant and once again we were credited with our resort credit when we charged it to our rooms.

That is awesome Roulette Man!! I will look into this!! Thanks a bunch!!
Overall satisfaction with the Palms depends on how well your personality fits the crowd there. Its a slightly wealthier and more mature group then you find at the Hard Rock...but otherwise the same. Very loud, very hip, very drunk =)

Matchplay coupons, general coupons, and great video poker make it a regular stop for me every trip but its not my kind of place to stay - which shouldn't detract you from making up your own mind. Try the Sunday Brunch at Garduno's there.

have fun.

I hear the walls are perfectly proportioned, not too thick or thin.

Palm's had a strange mix of the above mentioned hipsters along with a lot of local blue hairs. The hipsters don't come out until past my bed time so I just have to deal with the blue hairs clogging up all the penny slots.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Simon's and sat a few tables away from Chef Simon and Vince Neil. I like the Palm's.
I will admit the Palms was the first time I ever saw men's rubbers in the honor bar.

Much better than having those awful women's rubbers in there.
After many trips to Vegas, I now only stay at the Palms. It is a combination of good gambling, good offers and being treated well by the staff and my host. I agree that the play is totally different during the day than at night. I don't find the party crowd too bothersome since they mostly stay away from the machines I play. The one benefit is the views are very nice. I have not stayed at Palms Place yet but they have a nice little bar, Rojo, near the lobby. Bartender was great.

Enjoy your next trip and make sure to contact a host during your stay.

On weekends and at night yes....
on weekdays before party time it's mostly the geezer crowd one might find at most off strip places. A very nice place in my opinion. Just stay away from the place when that snobby LA Lefty crowd filters in. Those creatures are well worth avoiding at any time and place.
