Palms - any suggestions

Staying at the Palms for the first time in a couple of weeks, anything I should be aware of or request?
Should I ask for one tower over the other? I just found out my favorite Mexican restaurant is no longer there, where should I use the $50 coupon at? I've gambled there before but if anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

The restaurant called "Simon" over at Palms Place is one of my favorite restaurants there. When I played blackjack, they still had 3:2 on a two card deck. They have a blackjack pit with scantily dressed dealers on weekends, which my female dealer called the "Boobie Pit". They only pay 6 to 5 on blackjack at the Boobie Pit.
I've stayed there twice. I don't think there is a bad room in the place. I stayed in a standard room in the main tower overlooking the Gold Coast and Rio on my first visit. My second visit was a reservation for another standard room in the main tower. I was upgraded to a corner strip view petite suite in the fantasy tower without even asking for an upgrade. What a pleasant surprise! Ask if there are any complimentary room upgrades available when you check in.

I don't have a 2013 MRB coupon book so I don't know what the terms or restrictions are on the Palms $50 coupon. That info should be printed on the back of the coupon. If you don't find a restaurant you'd want to use, or don't plan on buying enough souvenirs in the gift shop, you should be able to apply it toward your room charges.

I've had good luck playing video poker, black jack and live poker at the Palms. I like the place a lot!

You will LOVE the Palms. Rio is right across the street if you want to give a quick visit.
