Palms Buffet now includes beer and wine

I was at the Palms casino a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to see a sign saying that their buffet now includes beer and wine. The sign said the $7.99 lunch special was extended thru April . There was also a dinnder price, but I forget what it was. Probably about $12.

I have never been a fan of the Palms buffet, but unlimited beer and wine included with your $7.99 lunch buffet sounded pretty good to me. I checked with the cashier to make sure I wasn't misreading something. Nope. It really was true.

And to my surprise, the food was greatly improved from my last visit (about 5 years ago). I had a glass of chardonnay and a glass of merlot at no extra charge, and could have had more if I wanted. It was "table wine" quality. I don't know whether they will continue their "special pricing" past April, but their regular price ($11.99 w/card for lunch) is still very good considering the improved quality of the food and the inclusion of the beer and wine. Next time you're out that way, check it out!

It seems the Palm's buffey has had a terrible reputation for years, although the couple of times we ate there in the past we found it was ok; but six months ago we were at the GC and decided to go to the Palms for supper, mostly to use the 50% off coupon---and we found it quite good. They had carb legs and steak among other items. We left thinking that we might want to re-assess our view of the place. And a free beer/wine would help.
