If the Pats had a clean history I would consider the team one of the best ever but instead I will always see them with a big *. Roger punished them for it and fans are butt hurt about it. This year they did it without cheating so golf claps to them.

They could have been a model franchise like the San Antonio Spurs if there were no cloak of cheating. I always thought the Pats could have won all of those games without cheating. Why cheat when you are already better? Paranoia? I have no idea.

I didn't have a favorite in this game--thought they were both good--so am not begrudging the result. But what's the deal on how the ending was managed? As soon as the referee signaled the touchdown, security let everyone on the field, confetti was released from the roof, and Fox posted the final on the screen.

Isn't the replay booth supposed to confirm all touchdowns in the last two minutes, especially in such an important game? To me there had to be at least some question as to whether he was downed by contact before the ball broke the plane. Even if network replays confirmed the call, shouldn't the replay booth have been allowed to confirm it?

This happens far too often.
Giants actually lost a playoff game in this manner.
Just this week, fans stormed an NCAA court to celebrate. Problem was there was still time left. They cleared the court, visiting team made the technical foul shots to force overtime, then won handily.
In this case, I'm sure the call on the field was right.
