I am coming next week and would like to go to see the Pawn Stars shop but some have told me there is always a line to get in. Anyone know if that is true? Not sure I want to stand in line for that but I thought it would be cool to see.
The answer is truely hit or miss. When they are filming they have everyone wait outside. Other times the line is long when it's not too hot as noo one wants to wait in the heat. If you are using a rental car you can drive by and decide, if you take a taxi (they are so busy they even have a taxi stand outside the front door) you will have to take your chances. As for seeing any of the stars of the show you can always call as the website does show them making appearences invarious states.
We went last week. In the middle of the afternoon there was about 70 or 80 people waiting to get in. We left. We went back the next day at 9:00 AM and walked right in. There was still a lot of people in the store. Was lucky enough to snap a pictue of Rick on my phone even though some gal was saying "NO PICTURES AT THIS TIME" evey two or three minutes.
In June we went there late on a Monday afternoon and while I waited in the car because I could care less about see it my wife and two kids went in, got right in, looked around, bought a Chumley tee shirt and left.
Like others have said, sometimes a line, sometimes not. Definitely NOT worth standing in line for very long. Mildly interesting inside, and you can say "I've been there."
Your chances of no lines is early morning but it will be hit or miss no matter what. We drive past it several times during our stays (been there twice.) The later you go the more likely you are going to face lines.
