Got to love the idiots that sell stuff to these guys.

Guy comes in with a product and finds out the assessed value is $1,000. Rick says, I will give you $300 for it. Idiot says ok

Maybe they sell the stuff for 50% of what it's worth so they can have their fifteen minutes of fame (even longer due to reruns). I don't know if they might get paid something for being on the show as well. That might have something to do with it as well. I guess the only way to really find out is get something really old and try to sell it to them.

I was there once when they were doing a taping but I didn't get to find out very much. They said no pictures but I got one anyway.
