Well what's next, or is this the very final step one can take to make sure everyone can play in the military sandbox?

So our country's gonna be being defended by Lamar Latrell huh? well as long as wormser is by his side..

Good thing jatki99's attitude still hasn't caused me to not like unemployable dumb people who light themselves on fire, then spend their lives sapping the social safety net. He's sure given us all lots of reasons.

I can point to threads from posters on this board who told us integrating gays in the military would result in poor morale ...and our troops weren't ready or mature enough to work side by side with homosexuals.

In hindsight that argument seems pretty ignorant, doesn't it? This argument will seem that way too. It already does.

Perhaps you should take a close look at what our current military is going through. The reality is that those predictions have come true. I will grant that it is not all because of the open integration of gays but those that precipitated the changes are the root cause.

My buddy Ted retired from the Army 8 years ago as a Chief Warrant Officer 5 after flying Apache helicopters for 25 years. I asked him about the quality of female pilots, and as a group they suck. There are a few good ones, but he estimates that 90% of all female pilots fall in the bottom 15% of their brigade.

The Army has been forced to push incompetent females through the program to meet mandated quotas.

You're right, I didn;t join the military - I just keep up with current events.

I know the military was officially integrated in 2011...which by my math is 4 years ago. I haven't seen any of the catacalysmic consequences that evangelicals promised us would happen when you forced heterosexual soldeirs to work side by side with homosexual soldiers.... But by all means - fill me in with details to the contrary - and please provide a reference.

By that measure I'm certain all is hunky dory in the military(I don't know either and I've never said a word about it one way or the other, this thread was started somewhat tongue in cheek), and there is no doubt in my mind that if there were any problems the pentagon would absolutely love for the world to know about it. I'm certain there would be press briefing after press briefing to let everyone know aany and all problems that might be occurring with any integration. Statements would be flying out if things weren't going so well, they just love to share and be forthwith with shit like that.
