Photos will Not be made public

Heard this late morning on CNN. I think this is a no win for Obama, he simply will be condemed either way he would have chosen.
I personally do think he has made the right choice. We do not need to "parade" his photos around as we have nothing too gain.
I agree with you but, alas, the photo(s) will probably be eventually leaked.

I hope you're wrong about the leak. Unlike the Abu Ghraib prison scandal were goofy little hillbilly grunts were reveling in photo ops, this was a pretty tightly controlled operation.

There is absolutely nothing to gain by releasing the pics. The freaked out conspiracy theorists will not be satisfied by anything, the cries of "photoshop" are just waiting. Right now his followers have nothing tangible like a grave site or mortal remains to rally around. I know that will not stop them from their requisite carnage, but a photograph of the "great man" with a hole in his head would only make things worse.

I think this is the right choice. I have enough faith in my government to believe that it really thinks it just killed Bin Laden in Pakistan, that it's not lying about that. Plus, in this day of Photoshop, people who don't believe aren't likely to be convinced by a photo.

I agree that it'll likely come out someday, but let it be another time, years from now, when the potential for negative impact is greatly decreased.

On a side note, that compound/"mansion" that rat was living in: if that's what passes for a "mansion" in Pakistan...I'm sure glad I don't live there. To me, it looks like a dump from the photos and videos that have been shown.
They don't need photos...there are many witnesses who were in the house including a wife and a teenage daughter (still alive) who witnessed it. In addition there were many other people (still alive) that were in the house. By the sounds of it they were mostly his kids but who knows what they actually saw.

Pretty sure at some point one of them will have something to say about what they saw. and who it was.

If the woman was the same one who shielded bin mommy, she's bin rotting somewhere as she is dead.

51, if this took place under the Bush administration, someone would have found those puppies and they would have made their way into a reporters hands already.

That being said, its a catch 22 thingy. Bad stuff will happen if you do, and bad stuff will happen if you don't release them. Obama's screwed either way as we will likely get attacked before this term is over. I'm not thinking a 911 type of thing, but a small to medium amount of dead bodies.
Personally, I am tired of seeing this animal's picture - I don't need to see more.
They did not show Bin Laden's body but I found these:

WARNING: NOT FOR THOSE THAT ARE WEAK OR HAVE BAD STOMACH"S.
