Pinot Brasserie at the Venetian has closed

I had two excellent meals there and two very mediocre to below average meals there including a fish in a broth that was disgusting.

It wasn't worth dining there and taking further chances because of the price of the meal and because of all of the very wonderful high end restaurants in Vegas. The restaurant closing that I'm more dissapointed about was the closing of Valentino's right next door to Pinot Brasserie.
Pinot Brasserie was a real enigma.

The tasting menus were nothing short of spectacular. The a la carte menu was nothing short of mediocre.

And they discontinued the tasting menu a few years ago. I know because every time I walked through restaurant row, I stopped to ask the hostesses whether they had a tasting menu for the that week. Each time, being told not currently.

I am intrigued by Daniel Boulud's place that went in place of Valentino's. One of the best meal I have eaten was at Daniel Boulud at Wynn.
