Planning a 2012 wedding - chance for comps?

Hello All,

My fiance and I are planning a Sept. 2012 wedding and are coming into town December 10 -13, this year, to scout out location possibilities, hotel possibilities, etc., and pretty much plan our entire wedding. We will have roughly 100 guests coming into town for this event.

My question is...If I am meeting with wedding directors, etc., at various hotels to make our decision, will they comp our stay there for 1 night? ..possibly breakfast, lunch, or dinner there at the least?... I just think that if I am flying there, taking a tour of their property, checking out everything, etc., that they may do this?? Maybe I am wrong? Staying in town for three nights - Sat. Sun. and Mon. Does anyone have any suggestions on trying to get this done, or has anyone done this before?

Thanks,
JB
you didn't mention gambling. casinos are in the business of gambling and they pretty much only comp those who gamble.
I'd suggest asking the wedding/meeting planner that question before you arrive. I presume you have made or will make appointments with the wedding planners and have given a general outline of what you are looking for. Booking meetings/events, catered meals, guaranteeing a number of sleeping rooms equals profit to the casino/hotel.
I just got married in July at a place called Rainbow Gardens. They did EVERYTHING there. Very reasonably priced. https://rainbowgardenslv.com/ . We loved it! We are from the Houston area and it was awesome for our family and friends. Food was great. Cake was unbelievably awesome. It is a place to consider.

Don't do it. It is much easier to get married in Montana and you never even have to leave your house. Double Proxy weddings are the way to go.

Do what MissL7777 suggested, and don't be shy about asking for freebies for yourselves. Get sample food. Inspect party rooms and guest rooms.

Also, do not overpromise. It is likely that some invitees who know how Las Vegas works will make their own arrangements. Others may find Las Vegas to be expensive on weekends and may opt out of attending. I recently sent regrets to my cousin for his daughter's upcoming wedding- on St. Maarten.
