Plaza / Hotels.com

Found a killer deal on hotels.com for non-refundable rates at the Plaza. Weekday rooms were listed at $22. You can also use promo code WRYOFF for an additional 10% off. My upcoming 2 night stay was $44.62 total.

Has anyone seen the new rooms and/or have any opinions or photos to share?
I've been keeping my eye on the Plaza rooms. I saw them drop as low as $18 on Hotels.com but then quickly shot back over $25.

Most of the feeback I've heard is the place is cleaned up and inhabitable again...but its still just a 2 1/2 star hotel so dont expect luxury.
Follow up question. Given a choice, would you recommend the Cabana Suites at the El CO or the newly remodeled Plaza rooms?

I stayed at the Plaza for 2 nights last week, and the rooms were fine.
The best part was the New HD T.V. , and the carpet being replaced takes out most of the old smell.

The only negative was the water barely coming out of the shower, and takes 5 minutes to get warm.
Its been 15 years since I stayed here, but the entire casino layout seems the same , new carpets, and much cleaner.
I was asked for my room card at the elevator just about every time. I seen 5 different security workers in 2 days. I guess you could say thats good if you want to feel safer.I am not used to that at any other Vegas hotel.

I paid $58 for 2 nights total which included taxes, and fees. I didn't get a chance to look for coupons, or discounts , cause I just wanted to make reservations quick. I will be much better prepared next time with LVA, casino guide, and other coupons, and searching web sites. I think the Plaza can be put in the top 3 places to stay DT along with the Golden Nugget , and El Cortez. I haven't stayed at the Main St. Station.

Who cares about luxury at $20 a night for a just remodeled room.
Best deal in town and a quick walk to playable video poker-which the Plaza unfortunately lacks.
We decided on checking out the Cabana Suites on this trip. 3 Nights at the Orleans, and 2 at the Cabana Suites.
Well for what its worth, heres a few pics anyway. We stayed 2 nights end of sept. Definitely clean, comfy and safe enough for us,enjoyed our stay.
