Please pray for my brother.

Praying for George and you.
I am so sorry about your brother. I will pray for him.

Tammi from N. GA.
Sheltie - many, many prayers for your brother and your family. BIG hugs from me to you...
ALS is the ugliest of diseases, and I am so very sorry. Prayers for sure.

I am guessing from what you say that George is working toward accepting the inevitable and perhaps doesn't want to prolong things. Very hard on us, moreso than on him.

Please make sure that he gets referred to a Palliative Care team, at least for a consultation.

Even if the end (gulp!) is not immediate, they provide the most wonderful of services, comfort measures centered on his wishes, when and how, to insure that he is comfortable now and onward into the last phase. Don't wait. Consulting PC doesn't mean giving up.

Tell George that our bodies may fail us, but we can still be persons of purpose and importance to those who love us.

Hugs and prayers to you and your family Sheltie.
Sheltie, I'm so sad for you and your family, but it sounds like George is taking as much control as possible for his future, and that must give him some measure of peace. I pray for a cure someday so that others may be spared. k

JOHN

They told him temporary, He feels if they put one in it will lead to a ventilator.
Thank you everyone! Hugs and prayers accepted.

Pattie, I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. It's a horrible disease.
