DonDiego doesn't know if they can comprehend the idea of mountain-sized chunks of rock floating through outer space.

But they do know what a volcano is.

So, DonDiego could suggest to them that a catastrophic eruption of Giant Volcano in Yellowstone National Park, where Yogi Bear hangs out, could bury everyone in the United States under several feet of deadly ash.

Oh goody. In addition to extolling the success of trickle-down economics, you can encourage them to keep on believing in Santa Claus. And the Easter Bunny. And unicorns.

You know, just to be consistent.

I heard the Santa Claus is striking until he is paid a livable wage, the Easter Bunny is collecting food stamps, and the unicorns have yet to sign up for Unicorncare as newly mandated.

I'm pleased that Don Diego didn't mention the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the island of La Palma in the canary islands, which scientist believe will at some point collapse during an eruption sending a tsunami across the ocean that could be as high as 50 meters when it hits Florida.
