PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker shut down by FBI

Read all about it...
Wow. I belong to an online Poker Club called NLOP.
You pay $19.95/month and play in cash and prize tournaments. They get around the law also,
but the cash prizes are not big.
I get a check every month if I won the previous.....

so far.
What happens to my money?
I think how NLOP and the site I play on, Club WPT, get around the laws is by just having tournaments and no cash games. I know when I was on Ultimate Bet, I could not get it funded. I have no problem funding Club WPT.

I used to play online every day. I was a paid proposition player on two sites, $16.00/hour for small stakes, and played an average of 4-6 hours per day in two sessions.

In the "early" days of online poker, there were several sites I funded with free money won from freerolls. The only time I ever sent payments was to "validate" an account before making a withdrawal. I did well enough for what I considered a part time recreational job, and made a profit on every site I ever played.

When UGEIA was passed, I cashed out my money, and stopped playing, figuring I'd wait until everything blew over. It still has not, and I do miss playing online. I miss the easy money, or what used to be easy money, and the opportunity to make a few bucks anytime I felt like it.

What I really miss the most is being able to sit down and play naked, whether for a few minutes or several hours.

As for funds for those of you who had any..... I figure you will eventually be able to claim them.

But this.... it makes me LOL. Guess because I saw it coming, only expected it earlier.

I do wonder who has been arrested already, and who has warrants outstanding. Many Poker Pro "celebrities" have some "ownership" in the sites. Should be interesting to see who gets cuffed. Will US Marshals be at the WSOP looking for them?

David McKee posted within the hour that Full Tilt was still up.
I have finally found a forum that is slower than LVA!

2+2 is crazy slow for me at the moment, due to the "news". Some threads started only hours ago are 80+ pages!

Craziest I've ever seen it.

I'm surprised of the lack of interest here. On the internet gambling forum here, there's only two posts. I know that Anthony is touting a new site with blackjack pro, Hollywood Dave. It's posted on the Joe Pane forum. I wonder what impact this will have?
I just logged on. My money is still there. Whew. Don't want to lose my $2.48.
