BernieB, you probably can see a political discussion coming, most often by the Topic. Don't open it. Even what starts as a friendly Vegas-related question or comment may deteriorate into vitriol, usually by someone (mostly the same people) who gets their kicks by hijacking a good post just to bait others. When this occurs, the end of useful discussion has come. Don't open that post again.
BernieB, don't WAIT for the "info" you have an interest in. ASK. Many people post Vegas-related questions and Trip Reports on the FFA.
If you can, spend the money for LVA membership (what we call "the paid side"), look at the other Forums, and post your questions or comments on one. The trolls don't frequent the paid side nearly as much, so it is less likely your post will be hijacked and you'll get the info (or opinions...there is a difference) you are seeking.
