Polo Towers

Has anyone ever stayed in the Polo Towers? I once stayed at the Jockey Club and it was great. Polo Towers looks like it is on the strip, but it doesn't feel like it when walking between Ballys and MGM. Also at Jockey I was never approached by a timeshare salesman.
I think the location is now much better, since the opening of Cosmo and the shops there at City Center, and also the pedestrian bridge.

I stayed there once and was not offered any timeshare, except maybe they mentioned it at check in. Each floor has a laundry, and you have your own kitchen, if you have any special diet. And there's a pool on the roof.

I think it's great, except I was above the loading dock, and the dumpster truck woke me up.
Have never stayed there. Polo Towers used to have the best secret bar on the strip. Was on the top floor with windows that provided a wide view. I you look for the street you can see the windows. Never saw more than a half dozen people up there and that was when I brought them. To bad they closed it.
Visited a friend who was staying at a 2 bedroom condo at Polo Towers. Looked great, fresh and clean. That was a year ago. The pool on the other hand is nothing to write home about. Location wise, it's a pretty darn good spot!

Used to go there often to impress dates with the view. Haven't been there in years. Sorry to hear it has closed.
Stayed there 3 times, but last time was about 3 years ago (City Center was under construction....had a birds eye view of the construction process). Thought it was very nice. They had parking in the basement or in the side lot (just behind that Travelodge). Was fairly easy to hop in the car and exit the back way (Harmon I think was the street). Casinos within easy walking distance were Monte Carlo, Planet Hollywood, and MGM Grand. City Center is obviously just across the street.

Never had a bad stay there. Rooms were nice. Perhaps not 5 star....think about 3.5 star rating. Our rooms always had a sliding glass door to an outside balcony. Was nice just to take a drink out there at night and check out the activity on the strip below.

Hawaiian Marketplace is directly in front, but never went there.
I have good friends that have time shares in both. I also have mutual friends that have rented from them in both locations. If you thought the JC was great, you'll love the PTs. Newer, fresher and a better location.

Good Luck!

We stayed there a few years ago and thought it was a pretty nice place,we had a one bedroom with good sized kitchen for cooking up some grub if so inclined. We also had a balcony that was nice to have for the aforementioned reasons. Our view wasn't near as cool as looking over the strip but it was tall enough that we had a decent view of south part of city center on down the strip.

Its not right on the strip but close enough, just have to walk thru the hawaiin mktplace. It was simple enough to walk out the side to PH and the harmon entrance to miracle mile shops,i could walk out of our room and be plopped down at a BJ table in about 15 minutes. I do remember the bed was one of the most comfy beds we've ever slept in with the pillows far and away the best ive ever laid my head on,i'd love to have a few of those for home.

It was very clean, comfortable, safe(elevators guarded) and had a good location if you like the more southern end of strip.

All in all we'd definitely stay there again no problem. Oh yea,we never got hit by any timeshare folks at all,as a matter of fact i dont even recall seeing ANY TS guys period in the lobby.

PS i think i have some pics,i'll check and post if do.
We stayed there in 2005. It was very nice and clean about 1/2 block from the strip. I think you would like it.
I was a Polo Towers timeshare owner. It was perfect! In my opinion, and I've owned a few timeshares, it is the Bellagio of timeshares. Unfortunately, I moved to Vegas and was no longer willing to pay $1,000 maintenance (sp) for a place only 5 miles from my house. I bought the timeshare for only $3,500 when I lived in FLA. At the time, it was a great deal...even with the $1000/yr. No pressure to see any condos, they pretty much treat you the way you tell them you wish to be treated when you're there. HOWEVER, there is a difference between the reservations process between Polo Towers and any other timeshare owned week. Even as an owner, you have to call at the beginning of the year to reserve your own week. If you ever buy there, please don't forget to reserve your own place in advane. Ridiculous policy, but they require it to be done that way. I promise you, you'll love it. I, too stay at Jockey Club once and Club de Soleil once. Club SUCKED; VERY POORLY CONSTRUCTED and you can hear everyone walking around and snoring above you, etc. JC was quite old, and the floors uneven but it was quiet. I sleep late and I prefer quiet to almost anything else. I hope this has helped you, Jane
