Pool Table Light - Bulb?

The light has been purchased - 40" long needing 3 bulbs.

8' pool table being delivered tomorrow. What are the best type of bulbs to be used for a pool table light?

I've looked online and haven't been able to get a clear understanding.

Any help?
DonDiego don't know nothin' 'bout pool tables.

Something around 5500 Kelvin will be similar to daylight - they are more expensive than the utility grades.
If you want something less harsh, ask for a light balanced to warm.

we used the same size bulbs when I owned a bowling center. we used 40 in. flourescent(sp?) in a cool white or cool green.

If you have green felt go with the "cool green" if you have red felt, which we do, the "cool white" seems to make the red look brighter. I tried the daylight-growing-sun bulbs but they seemed "unnatural" to me, go figure. Our original fixture came with special bulbs that were even stamped by Brunswick but they didnt last long before they developed an annoying "ficker" that only I could see so I replaced them with what I could find at the local home improvewment store.
Cool white should give you the best natural look. Hey keep a long cushion around in case you and your sweetie play a little strip pool one evening.
