Positive crap

DW & I last weekend invited to our home 20 volunteers from our local Relay for Life event as a "Thank You" for all the work they had done in helping to raise over $50K for the American Cancer Society.

We wound up raising another $1K for the cause. That's very positive crap!

We're adopting a dog this weekend(if all goes well).

My wifes cataract surgery went perfectly. She was 20/400 in that eye now it is 20/20. She hasn't seen this well with or without glasses in over 40 years.

Our tomatoes are doing great this year (very mild winter in Florida this year). So far we have over seven pounds from just two plants.

We are going to Biloxi next month for our wedding anniversary.

We are getting a 5K refund from the IRS

Last but not least we have completed our Zen garden project.

Thanks. I wish I had my own Zen Garden. What a great job on that!

Thanks for the positive feedback. My wife designed it. She has a real eye for this type of stuff. Here is what it looked like when the contractor left, we did the rest, staining, walkways, planters, plants, irrigation etc. We still want to add some landscape lighting and we have a little touch up and tweaking to do. It has become our favorite spot in the yard.

We love sitting out there with a cold one and our smoker.

My daughter got into Truman State University and earned some scholarship money to help her dear old dad pay for it.
My wife and I will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary on Maui in three weeks.
Still love the woman with all my heart.
Wow - great to see a thread celebrating good stuff. I scored a free pickup load of composted horse manure for my garden today...
