OK. I am posting this from IE 9.

I do seem to have some "difficulties". The "quick reply" was not displayed. And it seemed slower loading the pages to get here.

Can't help with the specifics, IE is not important to me. As others have said, there are far better browsers.

::: shrug :::

Quick reply doesn't display at my work on IE either. Works fine on Firefox.
I agree firefox is much better. I only use IE when certain sites only run on IE browser. Google chrome is cool but it slows your comp down too much.
what version IE do you have. I have IE8. I seem to recall another forum a couple of years ago where people with IE 7 were having problems. Maybe it's the version?

Why such loyalty to an inferior product? Firefox is way better than IE.

For sure....!

I'm not a fan of Firefox. I have a PC and I LOVE Opera. Great browser and it has speed dial whereby you can type in your everyday sites and Opera parks them all on one page and you just click to go. Very user friendly
Everyone seems to be missing that you asked for IE advice. What version and what platform? I'll test it for you. I have VMWare and can boot any OS back to DOS.

My guess is it is your graphics card. I'll need your hardware profile as well. Thanks. BTW: I'm a computer service technician.

No. We all know Dawg wants help on IE. Why spend hours troubleshooting IE when a free and better alternative is readily available.

So that you'll have a backup in case of a partial hard drive crash?

This reminds me of a question I saw on another forum. A woman wrote in asking for makeup tips to deal with the bruises and lacerations left by an abusive husband. Very few people offered the requested advice. Most told her to examine the reasons that she continues to stay in an abusive relationship.

Thank's all especially Frank. For all of you that want me to use another browser maybe someday. I'll give you an analagy that might not fly, but here goes. I go to a car dealer looking for a BMW. I say I only want a BMW. He says I have a Mercedes. I say I want a BMW. He says no you don't. Anyway I have an HP with an Intel i3 processor 64 bit with Windows 7 Home Pemium 6gbs ram and an Intel HD graphics card. Using I.E. 9.

Yes. I have 2 partitions. "C" & "E". "E" is a backup just in case of corruption, malware, virus, etc. I also back up important documents and data "in the cloud", and also onto a usb pen drive.

I primarily use google for email, and have every email I have ever sent or received on those accounts "archived" on google automatically after they are downloaded to my mail program.

I've also started playing with Linux as an OS, and have that installed on another computer recently acquired. I was able to import my setting, contacts, etc from "the cloud" into my Linux computer. I set up the "new" computer with dual boot, so can choose whether to run Ubuntu or Mint while I'm learning.

I suspect I'll be weaned away from Microsoft software sometime this year.
