Preschool Tells Deaf 3-Year-Old, . . .

. . . to change his name.

A Grand Island, Nebraska preschool has notified Hunter Spanjer that his name sign-language is a violation of its weapons policy.

KOLN-TV Grand Isle

Can anyone show poor old DonDiego the appropriate sign-language for "asswipe"? He'd like to communicate to the school.
Oh, . . . wait, . . . DonDiego thinks he's figured it out.
Ironically, that also was my name "sign" that I was used when I studied ASL.

Crossed fingers represent the letter "R", which was done on both hands along with a drumming motion.

My name in sign must be an extended middle finger. At least that's what everyone seems to call me.

Ever curious, DonDiego looked up "alanleroy" on Google-Images, . . . and this is the first entry:

It would seem the hand gesture which alanleroy described is correct.

Thanks for the info DD... sounds like people should be grabbing their crotch when calling alanleroy
This child is receiving a life long lesson at a very young age as to just how ignorant some people and institutions can be.
So when they threatened to ban the kid, did they use the word "then" or "than?"
I don't get it
This is just...arrrggghhh...no words to describe the stupidity of this.
