Proving Riverboats Wrong; Laughlin's River Rick is not the Original Vegas Vic

This week's article.

Proving Riverboats Wrong
JM told me the link was screwed up.
Thanks JM!

Sorry.
I fixed it now!
I've taken the cruise twice. I didn't realize it was a tape the first time. A resident also told me the story of the woman who was to live in the Edgewater penthouse is also incorrect in several places. Laughlin obviously suffers from a well deserved inferiority complex.
If there is ever a perfect example of a place that's nice to visit but wouldn't want to live there, it's Laughlin.

If I could get a small home on the river with a dock and a boat, I absolutely would want to live there!

Sure, except the only three homes on the river in Laughlin are compounds that cost several million dollars.
That is exactly what I was thinking...if the Vegas Vic story was so wrong..what else was wrong?
(And I was thinking about that woman and her penthouse!)

Man...you go on these things to learn some history and look what happens!
I'm sure some of Don Laughlins backstory is, shall we say, glossed over. I don't believe anyone can go from dealing blackjack to running an empire without leaving a few bodies in the desert.
