question about qod todays topic Oct 13 Fremont Street

My favorite street performer was playing the timbale! He can really play a lot of tunes.
He gets a fiver from me.
Yes,there are quite a few LAME ones.
I wish that they were not there.
Great video! It took some balls to do that.
So once again Forkie, I can show up your sidewalk with a megaphone and blast 24/7?

The randomness of the "art" when people were just gathering, but now it is just a random misplaced person with a bad product.

Can only assume the "free speechers" can do whatever they want while people "earning a living" if that is also what we want to call it have to do what they are told or get fined. We really live in a backwards world these days. Try to follow rules and you are punished. Just be a crazy person trying to tell other people how to live and you have rights. Just try to own a bakery and serve your customers and you will be out out of business and harassed. Please, stop this nonsense and vote to send Washington packing. I've had enough. I seriously don't think this is America.
Um, the Constitution guarantees our right to free speech. Last time I checked there was no right to free baking.

Of course not. There are ordinances that regulate that in EVERY city. Please stop being stupid.
You must be avoiding Fremont for other reasons. Billy and Forkie assured me that no tourists avoid Fremont because of the people, loosely referred to as "street performers".

These people chase away business and cost jobs.

But what about my free speech, Forkie? Do only some have the right to speech and others not? Why should speech only be limited in front of your basement, but not on Fremont?

Our first amendment freedoms are guaranteed in the 'Public Square'. Even though it's private property, Fremont Street has been ruled a Public Forum by the courts on several occasions. Forkush's basement has no such Public Forum designation by the US Court of Appeals. That's why.

The well informed know that there aren't too many basements in Las Vegas. But if I lived in Fresno I'd want might want to reside in one.
Why aren't there basements in Vegas?
there are LOTs of basements in Vegas. Some are just less informed than they think they are.
