This downtown Vegas hotel opened on May 18, 1956 as the tallest building in the state of Nevada. It had 155 rooms and cost $6 million. In 1959 another 60 rooms were added to the east wing.
In 1963 a bigger expansion took place when the hotel added the 14 story Ogden Tower bringing the room count close to 500. The new tower included the Sky Room, the first roof top pool in Nevada and one of the city's first vertical parking garages. Name the hotel.
