Not really. As you stated, it's a negative expectation game. Unless crazy luck intervenes, you will lose. (I'm excluding people with faith in dice setting, I'm not engaging that.)
Leaving to protect a craps win is only the smart move if one resolves to never again play the game. Because continuing to play the game, whether on the next roll or next year, will almost certainly gobble that win up and more.
Don't be phased by short-term wins and losses. Develop a bankroll, learn the bets with the smallest edge, wager those, and have some cheap fun. Because craps can be a lot of fun.
