"D" Hotel Downtown

Hi!

Has anyone been to the "D" Grill coffee shop in the "D" hotel? Has the menu changed from before when it was the Courtyard Grill? They used to offer a special on the "ribeye steak"....Is it still available as a "special"?

Does the "D" hotel still have the "Lucky Poker" progressive 25 cents machines? There used to be 2 banks, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs....

Are the upstairs machines all "coin fed" or do they have some ticket-in, ticket outs?

Haven't been there since March 2012, but am thinking of going sometime this year.

I hope the menu and service has improved - last time we were there in Oct 2012 I noticed less people frequenting the Courtyard Grill than other times. Even breakfast ( scrambled eggs, toast, etc) that I didn't think possible to cook badly was disappointing. Upstairs is not all coin droppers - they do have TITO. Next week at this time will be there so will be able to report back for sure.

I can see some drunk getting into a taxi and saying: Take me to D Hotel....

It hasn't. Fortunately you dont have to eat where you stay.
