"Hands Up, . . . Don't Shoot !"

From the US Department of Justice:

"Although there are several individuals who have stated that Brown held his hands up in an unambiguous sign of surrender prior to Wilson shooting him dead, their accounts do not support a prosecution of Wilson. As detailed throughout this report, some of those accounts are inaccurate because they are inconsistent with the physical and forensic evidence; some of those accounts are materially inconsistent with that witness’s own prior statements with no explanation, credible for otherwise, as to why those accounts changed over time. Certain other witnesses who originally stated Brown had his hands up in surrender recanted their original accounts, admitting that they did not witness the shooting or parts of it, despite what they initially reported either to federal or local law enforcement or to the media. Prosecutors did not rely on those accounts when making a prosecutive decision."
Ref: DOJ Report - 4 March 2015

It would seem anyone who parroted the phrase: "Hands Up, . . . Don't Shoot !" in support of the young thug shot in Ferguson, Missouri was taken in by false witnesses interested in something other than Justice and The Truth.
DonDiego hopes no one posting on LVA was fooled.
Let's face it. Everyone in Ferguson is full of shit. Cops. City officials. And about 95% of the residents. Remember, I lived there for over 50 years. I know first hand.

Pants up............don't loot!
Its always good to follow facts instead of pundits. Officer Wilson has been exonerated and Trayvon Martin likely got what was coming to him.

But DonDIego seems to (mysteriously) only reference half the story from the DOJ's report on Ferguson. After reviewing the police department of Ferguson in its entirety the same DOJ concluded the PD was systematically abusing its power and specifically oppressing the black community for years.

Before the facts were out in the Martin/Wilson incident many people in Ferguson made a choice which side they thought was telling the truth. They presumed it was the person not affiliated with their corrupt, racist, scumbag police department. They were wrong - but can you blame them? If any police department was engaging the White community like this there would be similar protests in the streets - only the protestors would be dressed up in the same outfits you see at CPAC.

Washington Post summarizes DOJ report on Ferguson PD

- The city’s practices are shaped by revenue rather than by public safety needs.
- The 67% of African Americans in Ferguson account for 93% of arrests made from 2012-2014.
-The disproportionate number of arrests, tickets and use of force stemmed from “unlawful bias,” rather than black people committing more crime.
-A singled missed, late or partial payment of a fine could mean jail time.
-Arrest warrants are “almost exclusively” used as threats to push for payments.
-And if time is served, no credit for jail time is received and the length of time isn’t even recorded by the court.
-Officers used a dog to attack an unarmed 14-year-old black boy and then struck him while he was lying on the ground, all while he was waiting for his friends in an abandoned house. The report concludes that in every dog bite incident reported, the person bitten was black.
-From October 2012 to October 2014, every time a person was arrested because he or she was “resisting arrest,” that person was black.
- And lists several individual abhorrent incidents of police abuse
- Exchanges of racist emails by court and PD staff

The DOJ assumes that the Ferguson Police Department is racist since they arrest more blacks. Let us utilize the same logic when looking at the NBA and the NFL. My gosh, how about all of those college ball teams? I call for a DOJ investigation immediately as we are experiencing terrible racism against white athletes.

Or, there is a large percentage of black punks in Ferguson and blacks are better athletes.

Ray

Finally. The Real Truth comes out. They're ALL FULL OF SHIT. I wish the DOJ and the media would have just told us the truth from the start. We can handle it. Thanks Ray. You made my day. Just apply this same observation to all politicians and you've got the answer to who's to blame for many of our issues.

The DOJ laid out a littany of statistics and individual incidents to make their case...none of which Boilerman bothered to read. I guess the DOJ is only credible when they side with Boilerman's politics on race.

holder's DOJ is a model of integrity on this incident. Their Politics was left in DC where it belongs. They followed the facts in exonnerating an innocent officer and they followed the facts in pursuing a corrupt police department.

Boiler read the report, and correctly believes that the great majority of the reason for high arrest rates of blacks is due to the high percentage of black punks.

Washington Post summarizes DOJ report on Ferguson PD

i.DonDiego did not "reference half the story from the DOJ's report on Ferguson." In fact, DonDiego did not reference the DOJ's report on Ferguson at all.
DonDiego did reference and provide a link to the DOJ report on " . . . CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE SHOOTING DEATH OF MICHAEL BROWN BY FERGUSON, MISSOURI POLICE OFFICER DARREN WILSON - 4 March 2015." Why? Because that report addressed the DOJ conclusions about the reality of the confrontation between Officer Wilson and Mr. Brown, . . . the subject of this thread.
The conclusion was " . . . [Officer] Wilson did not act with the requisite criminal intent, it cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt to a jury that he violated 18 U.S.C.§ 242 when he fired his weapon at Brown.
For the reasons set forth above, this matter lacks prosecutive merit and should be closed."

There no other half of this "story". DonDiego objects to pjstroh's statement that there is.

ii. pjstroh has posted about another report tangentially related to the subject of this thread, . . . addressing alleged misconduct and bias by the Ferguson Police Department.
pjstroh cites, not the DOJ Report provided in its entirety in DonDiego's link (of which pjstroh claims falsely that poor old DonDiego only referenced half), . . . and not even the separate DOJ Report of Investigation of the Ferguson Police Department - 4 March 2015 , . . . but a Washington Post summary of the DOJ investigation of the Ferguson Police Department which begins: "Seven months after a white Ferguson police officer shot and killed an unarmed 18-year-old, . . ."
This is how the Washington Post summarizes Officer Wilson's encounter with Mr. Brown, "an unarmed 18-year-old". DonDiego suggests some pertinent omissions in this description of Mr. Brown.

The original subject of this thread, . . . the "fact" that Michael Brown had his hands up and was surrendering when Officer Wilson shot him remains a false narrative, . . . swallowed by many to characterize a thug as a victim.

iii. DonDiego has no objections to the DOJ investigation of the Ferguson Police Department. DonDiego has no objection to legitimate improvement of the Ferguson Police Department.
DonDiego made this statement in his original post:
" in support of the young thug shot in Ferguson, Missouri was taken in by false witnesses interested in something other than Justice and The Truth."

This statement is only partially based in fact and thus false . The same DOJ that DonDIego believes to be credible enough to narrate truth on the specific shooting incident also reported on the general police climate in the city of Ferguson. People were not solely taken in by "false witnesses interested in something other than justice". Given two sides of the same story, The People of Ferguson were willing to believe citizens in their community over the police force that was systematically harassing and oppressing them. A police force comprised of known thugs doesn't carry much integrity with the general public.

To only point to one cause while ignoring the other is nothing more than dishonest. I'm sorry DonDiego objects to my insertion of truth into his thread. He'll have to get over it.. Its a free country.
