"I usually win 6 out of 10 sessions... yet I lose every year."

Here is how you can average winning over 60% of your sessions, guaranteed. Play roulette. Specifically, bet whatever denomination you're comfortable with on one individual number 34 times and then quit. It doesn't matter which number, and it doesn't matter if you switch numbers.

During this 34 spin session, your chances of losing every single spin: (37/38)^34 = .40, meaning your chance of winning at least one spin: 1 - .40 = .60, or 60%. And if you win just one spin out of 34, you are guaranteed to be a winner for the session. So you in the long run, you can expect to win six out of ten sessions. Isn't that great?

Of course this is a negative 5.3% expectation play, so while you're winning lots of sessions, you'll be losing lots of money. So much for caring about winning sessions, huh?
The 64,000 question is dealer signature. You are correct if the results are totally random. However if there is a dealer signature, roulette can be overcome.

Overcome? I don't buy it. There is no guarantee you will win.

Well said Forkush! This is a beautiful example of illustrating that the percentage of sessions won is meaningless in the scheme of long term expected value and overall win/loss. You could also have a three-spin session on a column with a probability of losing: (26/38)^3 = .32. The probability of hitting at least one column is 1 - .32 = .68 so you would win 68% of these sessions with the same negative expected value of 5.26%.

There is no guarantee, but casinos are certainly recognizing that some of their dealers do have signatures (of course unintentional).
If you use a strict Martingale or even Oscars Grind, you will win the vast majority of your sessions. However, your losing sessions will cost you much more than your winning session win for you.
I wrote about this before. I was at a demonstration at a big strip casino where targeting of quadrants on a wheel was demonstrated.

so there are actually two ways that dealers/players can increase their wins:

1. players identify an unintentional signature
2. deliberate targeting

Im not a roulette player but the way it was explained to us at the demo that targeting a quadrant can mean big money for a player/dealer working together.

I have a regulation roulette wheel at home. I've been able to hit exact numbers after practicing. Of course a casual observer would be able to see I was waiting for a certain place to release the ball. I would practice wheel speed and ball release in order to hit.

When I was with friends one night at Harrah's, a lady friend of mine had a good session and good rap with the supervisor at the mini-baccarat table. When we were finished he told her to go to a specific roulette table and to bet 00 and 1 (right next to each other), and tell the dealer that he sent her. The dealer missed on the first time. The next two times he hit.

I have a little side mini-system. Whenever some arrogant person comes in on a game and starts laying huge wads of cash or chips on black or red, I will pay attention to see if the dealer hits 0, 2, 9, 14, 26, 28, 35 (0 and the three neighbors on each side of it) or 00,1,10,13,25,27,36 (00 and the three neighbors on each side of it). If they do, there is a chance they are aiming for the 0 and/or the 00 in a means of thwarting the guy. I have these numbers memorized cold and will play all 14 of them, until the guy busts out or leaves.
I Gambling Systems.

I know, I Know, I KNOW ........ none of them work ................................. but I still do them.
