"No soup for you ! "

Honolulu’s Café 8½ posted a new policy on it's front glass door barring pro-Trump patrons.

“If you voted for Trump you cannot eat here!
No Nazis.”

A photo of the sign is proudly posted on the café’s Facebook page, and was immediately “liked” by some 40 people. F'rinstance: “ . . . The next time you're in Honolulu, eat lunch here, not only are they on the right side of things, the food is delicious and reasonable.”

DonDiego appreciates the note; DonDiego prefers not to patronize businesses which do not want his business. It's a win-win.
Yelp his since shut down the restaurant's Yelp page after getting pounded with negative comments. This company will certainly do whatever possible to protect their Liberal, hateful, and intolerant brethren. I certainly hope that the restaurant loses the 50% of their clientele that they're targeting.
I doubt 50% of their clientele voted for him, nor do they seem worried about it.
A restaurant thousands of miles from him goes fishing for fools and Silverman swallows the bait, hook, line, and sinker.
As a Liberal restaurateur, I doubt that this guy knows what 50% means. "Half of what?"

It seems foolish from a business standpoint to irritate half of your potential customer base. I dunno, maybe the guy has thought this out that his place is small and he is getting attention and people who didn't know the place existed do now. Who knows? Regarding Yelp , the business is being monitored as protection against reviews that lack credibility. People to turn to Yelp for first-hand reports on food and service.

We had a place in Arizona that broadcast Rush Limbaugh during lunch, probably running off all but far far far right customers. In fact, they called it the "Rush Room." The restaurant was an institution for decades, long before Limbaugh hit the airwaves, but has closed. Not necessarily because of an economic boycott but because when I went in there everyone was 50 years old than me. A coroner might say the restaurant died of natural causes.

I don't wish ill-will to the far right or far left businesses. I wish them well. It's good for the community, they pay taxes and employ staff who stimulate the local economy.

Café 8½ spared no expense with their sign.

Looks like he had his kindergarten son write it. Its kinda dumb on multiple levels.
with a sign like that, why would ANYONE want to dine there? left or right, I would not want to eat there. I am not a big fan of hate.

If the food and service are great, I would eat there. I don't get my panties in a wad as easily as some of you.

Tom Collichio is left-leaning but Craftsteak is home to the best Wagyu I have ever eaten. So I dine there. Sheldon Adelson pumps profits into far right causes, but I love the tasting menu at Batali's B&B Ristorante. So I dine there.
No Nazis, OK, but then, unless a customer wore German military digs, clicked his heels and did the "Heil Hitler" thing, who would know? LOL.
