What the chart shows is that around 2030 the Medicare Trust Fund will not have sufficient funds to cover projected Medicare expenditures. So in 2030 they will need to either not cover all that the taxpaying Medicare recipients have been promised or they'll need to have raised Medicare tax revenues before then.
The same holds true for promised Social Security benefits in/after 2036.
And the same holds true for Social Security Disability Insurance payments in 2017, . . . wait a minute, that's
next year !
