Just a note on the Trust Funds on which many Americans are likely to be dependent.

________Fund________I__Date Fund Is Depleted__

Social Security ________I_______2035__________

Disability Insurance____I________2016__________ ? ? ? (Who knew?)

Medicare_____________I_______2030__________

Once the fund is depleted it's "pay-as-you-go".

Yeah, I remember the very first time I heard that Social Security was a Ponzi scheme that was destined to run out of money.

Later that day I watched the Ed Sullivan Show.

Today we're hearing that from the same folks who said trickle-down and Wall Street deregulation was going to make everything peachy. Dude, when have you guys ever been right?
Reality is not in the liberal playbook. They think money is infinite

Back during the 1950's the Democrats were hell bent for leather to grab those Social Security dollars and make it part of the general fund. During the Nixon administration, he made that a fact. In short order the lockbox was emptied and the scramble on how to fund and ever increasing federal program began.

Unless more funds are added OR benefits are reduced, Social Security is history. - So simple even a Forkie can understand it.
