I haven't heard the Adele song, but this thread makes me think of the Debbie Boone number everyone went nuts over years ago. Played and played, then...OK that's enough, then...STOP IT!!!, then...it just became a joke. Too much of a good thing.
It appears that Adele, imho, has crafted her music to reflect sadness: heartbreak, lost love, etc. I'm not aware of anything happy or upbeat in her music. Props to her voice, but one wonders if she will ever break out of that mold? I harken back to a multiple Grammy winner his first time out, Christopher Cross, and how he followed up his initial success.
Way over played. Almost as much as Moves Like Jagger. We change the station whenever they come on. My poor daughter is stuck dancing to Moves until July. It's awful.
