"VEGAS" - Not renewed

Apparently the TV show VEGAS will NOT have a 2nd season. Bummer! I enjoyed the show.
All of us Vegas "old timers" need to email CBS and voice our displeasure.
Apparently the show appealed to the wrong demographic.
Better speak up or the "new wave" wins again.
I was sorry to see the show cancelled, but not suprised. Like many of you out there, I'll pretty much watch any show that includes the name of the city in it. The scripts did seem to be very repetative though, which usually doesn't bode well. unless you make duck calls or drink to excess on the eastern seaboard! I did like Dennis Quaid in his role. I would be curious about Ralph Lamb's thoughts on the spripts as they seemed to have very little to do with reality. Speaking of little to do with reality, how'd you like their version of Fremont St? I think the ExCal resembles an authentic mideval castle more than their cartoon version of Fremont. Until the next Vegas type show..........

Good Luck!

We loved the show. Sad to see it go.
I enjoyed it, but it was not great.

Funny you say that. I'm noticing that all the commercials are now playing background music from about 1978 - 1984 so that (my) demographic seems to be what they're targeting.

Just when the show was really getting interesting!
Been enjoying that show...Phooooey
Prior to moving to Fridays it was a consistent top 20 show. However since most of the audience was over 50, the 18-49 audience was not high enough so it was cancelled. Advertisers continue to operate under the assumption that people over 50 are nearly dead and in walkers and thus don't spend any money.

Bear in mind that the people making that decision are almost always under 40 & frequently under 30
Other than news and occasionally pawn stars, its the only show I watch on TV...what a bummer.
Hubby and I enjoyed this show too. Nice to see something different on TV. Next thing you know they will be cancelling Blue Bloods which is one of the best things on TV. Always good to see TV shows with families that show respect for one another. Most of the shows have stupid parents and smartass kids.
