R.I.P. - Moses Malone

Sad to report Moses Malone has passed at age 60.

I recall when Moses was asked how many games it would take for Philly to win the NBA finals, and as reported in the news paper, Moses responded "Fo Fo Fo Fo".

Bolerman, I think you have one too many "Fo". I seem to remember Moses saying "Fo, Fo, Fo". Anyway...
...I also remember Moses declaring in the Finals to the Celtics that he could muster up 4 guys from his Petersburg, VA hometown who could beat Boston. In reality he was saying his current teammates were chopped liver. Real nice Moses.

All in all a great, great, player. R.I.P.

His death comes so close to the death of Darryl Dawkins. Dawkins was 58.

I cant believe he was only 60. He was pretty old when he retired...I thought he was in his 40's then. Guess not.

he retired in 1995, thats about 40 years old when he hung up the sneakers..

I remember that era of basketball fondly, it was the only time I enjoyed watching b-ball. I loved watching the Sixers, Lakers and the Celtics (my favorite) play. I could actually spend the entire day watching those teams play, especially when the Lakers and Celtics were playing each other, those were some classic games. Loved watching Bird and Kareem going at it with little(relatively) Danny Ainge sinking three pointers form the corner. Good times, RIP Moses.
