Venetian is too big and overblown, and like the real Venice, it's easy to get lost. Palazzo corrected those errors but lacks distinction.
Wynn has the best floor (literally) and excellent decor, but has a dull layout.
Bellagio has the most pleasing decor, especially before the remodel, but is too big and disorienting.
Orleans is friendly and fun but a little worn and a little smoky. Wish I had seen Orleans when it was new.
Like Orleans, Caesars Palace disguises its size with interesting features incorporated into the floorspace rather than surrounding it as Wynn, Bellagio, and Venetian do. Plus, it is maintained impeccably.
Although others are more impressive in many ways, I still like Caesars the best. I miss it.
Among Strip megaresorts, MGM gets the nod for worst casino layout. Bally's is second. Off-Strip, Rio (a series of jumbles) or Gold Coast (a big cigarette carton).
