Rank the casinos

1. Cosmopolitan (like top of the line escorts)
2. Wynn and Encore combo. (your older escorts, more mature; but still beautiful)
3. Luxor (your cheaper escort - a little less refined, but can still deliver the goods)
#1 The Orleans

#2 Gold Coast

#3 Downtown Casinos

1. M Resort
2. Main Street Station
3. El Cortez
4. Red Rock
5. Gold Coast
Venetian is too big and overblown, and like the real Venice, it's easy to get lost. Palazzo corrected those errors but lacks distinction.
Wynn has the best floor (literally) and excellent decor, but has a dull layout.
Bellagio has the most pleasing decor, especially before the remodel, but is too big and disorienting.
Orleans is friendly and fun but a little worn and a little smoky. Wish I had seen Orleans when it was new.
Like Orleans, Caesars Palace disguises its size with interesting features incorporated into the floorspace rather than surrounding it as Wynn, Bellagio, and Venetian do. Plus, it is maintained impeccably.

Although others are more impressive in many ways, I still like Caesars the best. I miss it.

Among Strip megaresorts, MGM gets the nod for worst casino layout. Bally's is second. Off-Strip, Rio (a series of jumbles) or Gold Coast (a big cigarette carton).

I know I'm in the minority here, but, I have always liked Monte Carlo. It isn't really a twenty something casino, and since I'm not twenty something I like it.

NY NY is my other favorite. But, since the remodels of both of them and seeing I haven't taken a trip in a couple years, it may be all different next time we venture out there.
I prefer the smaller casinos. The mega resort ones are just so huge and overwhelming. I remember walking through MGM for first time and couldn't fathom how huge this place was,I still get lost every time i am there. LOL

I would say my favorite would ne IP or maybe gold coast..
LV Hilton for video poker and sports book - and for non-stop comp drinks
Venetian, Bellagio and MGM for poker
Rio for slots - but only for show in the sky
Anywhere with 3-2 for Blackjack

Like PJ said, the more blue collar casinos, usually local places. That's why Sam's Town is my favorite place to stay.I really miss the old Nevada Palace, another old style, smoky, locals casino.
