Perhaps, just perhaps it has something to do with petty theft and auto thefts being so popular in Vegas.
As I've mentioned, the three things I looked for while fleeing the terrorists were a great dog park, a 24 hour gym and an above average pool. Three things I imagine hoops doesn't care about.
