Recent Trip restaurant highlights

Just returned from a fun and enjoyable trip to Vegas.

Thought I would mention a couple of reasonable pre-fix dinner specials.

Top of the list was the $65.00 Delmonico 3 course meal....AWESOME meal.

first course
Tomato soup with grilled Cheese (the grilled cheese sandwich was amazing)

second course
Ribeye steak

third course
caramel butter cake (with creme) -

Sage at Aria was $59.00 - early evening.

NOTE:
One additional highlight
D.O.C.G at Cosmo
Salted Caramel Budino (this is now my favorite dessert)
I'm salivating!

-The first course looks like an extremely difficult choice. The gumbo looks awesome but I'd prob go grilled cheese like you said.

-How was the ribeye??
I went to DOCG on a recommendation from a waiter at Simon's restaurant at Palm Place. Ordinarily I don't order pasta at an Italian restaurant, and usually have fish or veal. The pasta was homemade and one of the most wonderful meals I've ever had. The owner Scott Conant who is a celebrity chef, happened to be there that night and stopped by our table.

I've never been to Delmonico's but want to go badly.
It has been decided that next trip will be themed "Restaurants we have never been to"

Your highlights have moved those to the forefront of the list.

I try to visit a new restaurant or two every trip I go on. Last trip it was Carson Kitchen and the Golden Steer. I want to go to the Society Cafe at the Encore for breakfast. On the show titled "The Best Thing I ever Ate" they had a show dedicated to egg dishes. At the Society Cafe they had Filet Mignon Steak and Egg Sliders. They have two sliders they give you with Filet Mignon and scrambled eggs. They added creamed spinach to the top and put it on homemade bacon and cheddar muffins. I'm also having a meal at the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay.

How was Carson Kitchen? I'm thinking about eating there for breakfast on Thursday morning. Thanks.

I don't personally know if they are open for breakfast, but they are definitely open for lunch and dinner. The meal was great and wasn't very expensive. They have an appetizer called "bacon jam" that is to die for. I also had their butter burger which was very good. I'm going to LV later this month and we plan to do lunch there. I highly recommend it.
The braised beef short rib hash at Society Cafe is off the charts good.
Follow up on Carson Kitchen. They don't open until 11:30am, so they don't serve breakfast.
Eat, a couple of blocks from Carson Kitchen, is a solid breakfast option downtown.
