Red Rock Questions

I am going to be in Vegas in the first week of July. I am thinking of jumping on the free shuttle to Red Rock Resort. Is it worth making the trip? Was thinking of trying the buffet when there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
sorry didn't mean to post more than once.
Red Rock is my favorite of all the Station Casinos that I have visited. If you're into ambience, then you may apppreciate the vibrant earth tones and subtle sophistication of the place, located near its spectacular namesake.

I like the buffet very much, good food for a good price expecially if you are a Stations member ($2 discount) or you have the LVA MRB (2-for-1). Their Grand Cafe is also reliably good, and I remember liking their Italian and Japanese restaurants.

I only play their video poker so I can't comment about the rest of the gambling, but they do have a decent inventory of PE video poker machines. They also seem to have a wide variety of the latest slot machines, and their table games are often hopping during a weekend or holiday night.

Hope you enjoy your visit if you make it out!
Excellent blackjack, as well. Suggest you take the trip and get a taste of the type of off-Strip properties that the locals (and a lot of us non-locals) love.

where do you catch the red rock resort shuttle???
fashion show mall.
I'm of the "If you haven't been there, go see it " mentality. I haven't gambled 12 hours a day since I started going to Vegas instead of Reno back in the early 90s. I don't advocate checking out every hole in the wall joint, but I think it worth your time to see the major players in town. RR is worth the trip. It's visually appealing, has some decent VP and there's a buffet coup if you're a member. Walking around seeing the property will take a bit of time. Take it all in and enjoy yourself.

Good Luck!
