The news this morning has been mentioning that Mega Millions is making changes starting October 22nd:

organizers are hoping to see huge jackpots more often by lessening the odds of winning big but raising a player’s shot at smaller, but still-hefty, prizes. Mega Millions doesn’t plan to change its $1 ticket price, but an extra $1 option already in the game will be expanded to allow players to increase their secondary prize total to between $1 million and $5 million, a major increase from $250,000.

They will also raise the minimum to 15 million, and raise it at least 5 million between drawings, but the base price is going to remain a buck.

Unless jatki99 purchased his tickets at a gas station on the highway passing Lexington, South Carolina he is outta luck.

"Lexington County is considered to be the fastest growing area in South Carolina with the best school districts in the state. Lexington County is well known for its 45-mile long Lake Murray with more than 500 miles of shoreline and some of the best fishing in the country. Lexington County is home to campus Midlands Technical College, one of the largest Technical Colleges in the State, and within commuting distance to the University of South Carolina and it's internationally renowned Moore School of Business. Our dynamic economy boasts friendly people, excellent schools, theaters, parks, golfing and museums of South Carolina. This winning combination makes Lexington County the best place to live, work, play, and raise a family."

A single ticket won.
The ticket holder(s) can claim an annuity valued at $400 million or take a lump sum in cash of $223 million — about $134 million after taxes
Unlike in most participating PowerBall States, South Carolina permits the winner to remain anonymous if he so chooses. If he is wise, he will so choose.
