A reminder about political threads

Creepy. It's like the grim reaper declaring "...we don't really announce that you are dead, you just suddenly get real quiet."

can we include removing political postings like unions? I think they are just as political in nature. Kind of bad that threads are hijacked from their true nature, that others are using political issues like unions to blame for the downfall of some things in society (see sahara thread). We may as well allow political threads again, that it was democrats/republicans, etc. I think the threads should post factual information, not rant against a certain group for problems.

JMHO. the sahara thread is a prime example, I hate when people comment about a group like unions and make claims that are only a matter of opinion.

It is good to know that unions are political - otherwise I would have never known they were in any way involved in politics. Thank you for letting me know.

I'm new here, and I have a question. A thread on inflation was started here, which has since turned political. I find it hard to believe that is OK, even if the apparent rule is that it's the Starting of political threads is against the rules. How about some clarification?

IF the moderator (Ody) sees it, he'll delete it. The problem is that he's not reading everything all the time. If he did that, he'd never get any work done, lol.

Theres nothing wrong with some intelligent conversation i beleive. Its the contentious nature that a few A-holes must resort to whenever its remotely tied for or against there own slants. It was just so bad the other weekend when two major d!ckheads spent the ENTIRE weekend going back and forth with each other.
When stuff is presented in an intelligent non confrontational way,i think its cool. I think 2 of the most intelligent guys here are PJ and DD. Both at oppisite ends of the spectrum but i dont beleive either one of them would ever be so lame as to hurl insults to each other for days. Both are to mature and classy to do that i beleive.

Anyway,my 2cents
