Rental cars?

I KNOW IT IS SUPPLY AND DEMAND.......BUT

The cost of renting a car in Vegas is mind boggling
, to say the least!

I do the dance.....book my car and watch the rates come down.

Planning a trip in May (going sightseeing in other states) and booked a MIDSIZE CAR WHICH IS NOW A COROLLA SIZE for $425.00.

Sooo have gradually cancelled and rebooked and now have it for $347. Not bad, right?

This MORNING THE SAME CAR IS NOW $426.00!

Glad I booked ..... But question is

DO YOU THINK IT IS STILL SUPPLY AND DEMAND OR UBER INTERFERRING?
Car rental prices reflect only one thing - greed. As long as people will pay what they charge, the rental prices will continue to rise.
What are your dates? Milled, I got a mid-size rental for last Labor Day weekend (4 nights), at $6.66 per day plus taxes and fees. My rental was $26, and taxes where something like $40.

Was I being greedy for accept this low price?

Um, that's called supply and demand Dr.

Greedy capitalistic pigs.
Is that for a week? I would not pay $425
Not even $347
No, my deal is for 10 days and from Alamo.
Airport Dollar 4/26 to 5/19 $576.54. Fox 4/26 to 5/18 $524.96. Standard car. Still horrific but better than when I first started checking and everything was over $1000.
I booked my 8 day rental for my July trip back in January. I got it for $188 all in for a full size. I've been checking back frequently thinking that once they start charging for parking at the Mlife casinos they will lower the price on rentals. So far, that has not been the case. But, if I remember correctly, they didn't actually start charging when they said they would. The $188 definitely beats the $300 I paid for 7 days rental for a Chevy Spark last year during the same time frame. If I were staying at the Mirage again like I did last year, I wouldn't even get a car. Last year I barely used it. It just wasn't worth it. The only thing I really used it for was to go to the movies when I was bored and tired of gambling.
