Rental cars?

Are you plugging in coupon codes? Also, if you are renting that long it might be worth checking rates at rental car locations away from the airport.
It might be cheaper to cab it to those locations and rent from there.
Yes, using Amweican Casino Guide coupon codes. Any other good ones just for Alamo?
Carrentalsavers.com Far and away the cheapest place to book a car I've ever found. We've rented from there for the last seceral trips, usually a fraction of all other sites I've tried.

Several years ago I was in Vegas and snagged week long Cadillac CTS rental for $255 including taxes and fees. A few months later I vacationed in Isla Mujeres, Mexico and rented a golf cart for one week for $350.

Why do people complain about our free market economy so much? Open up your own car rental company and we'll see if you're renting cars at below market rates.
snidely333's thinking ---- free market economy = gouging ; which is OK if you are the one doing the gouging.
Dr. gouges when he sells something, and that's okay.

When I gouge, its the free market. When I get gouged, its greed.
Was looking for car rental rates for June 20-24th.
Was finding $200+ for that time. Searched and book with firefly for $115 until I read their reviews mostly accusing them of bait and switch and charging extra for mileage. I quickly cancelled.

I ended up booking thru Priceline for $121 (hertz) which means I cannot cancel but feel the prices won't get much better. When I went thru Hertz' website it was more than double.

While I normally deal with the car rental companies directly thru their websites, the last couple of times though I've gotten better rates thru the Hotwires and Pricelines of the world.

The key to getting good car rental rates is to SHOP AROUND, don't leave any stone unturned.

I agree. You have to be very thorough when trying to get the best price,

We have been using Alamo for YEARS! Reason being is that they are so fair when you have problems. Several years ago we hit sme raised curbing and got a flat. We changed it and put the "donut" on. When we returned the car they only charged us for a new tire and hub cap.

They didn't charge for loss of time and were very fair in the amount they charged.

We have heard horror stories of the "cheaper" car rental agencies and would never consider booking with them

I like the idea that you can book the reservation without giving credit card AND THEN CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE SITE FOR LOWER PRICES AND CHANGE ACCORDINGLY?

However, I know prices have to go up but now they just seem much too high.
