Rental cars?

I am a Costco member and have booked several car rentals through Costco Travel. I have never been asked to show my membership card or provide a coupon. I have never read about anyone being asked for their Costco membership card either, but you never know if you have the misfortune of getting a stickler for the rules.

They never check. And if you signup for their "Bypass the counter program" you dont even have to interact with an agent when you get your car.

I am a member of Costco currently but for years I was not and used their codes.

Chessie, keep locking in the cheapest prices, and I believe that they will continue to go down.

TOU CAN BE SURE I WILL-AND IT CAME DOWN AGAIN TODAY. FOUR TIMES JUST TODAY!!!

Has anyone ever checked in on line and actually skipped he kiosk at Alamo? The kiosk is quick and easier than the counter but my husband's bar code on his license doesn' scan. Been thinking of checking in at home and then going directly upstairs to get the car,?

Yes, I've done that and it's good. I'm assuming that if you use Costco, and you have reserved with the Costco numbers, it will be seamless. You jump into the car, show your paperwork that you print at home and your ID as you drive out. You're driving away 10 minutes after stepping off of the bus.

Prices will keep going down.

UPDATE!

Price came down again this morning to......$301.

Looks like I'll make my goal of $300 but now I'm thinking my goal should be even lower....what the heck..Not leaving for 20 days!?!?,!

I'm guessing that you'll end up at closer to $200 than $300.
